Pfizer is seeking a Vice President of Applied AI & Architecture for the US Commercial organization. This executive will craft a coherent AI strategy, connect AI with enterprise platforms, and guide architecture across transformation programs.

The role requires deep expertise in generative AI, agentic systems, and enterprise integration, with a track record of influencing across senior leadership and delivering scalable solutions within a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in AI, data, and architecture.
• Senior leadership experience shaping technical direction across a large organization.
• Experience translating transformation priorities into technical roadmaps and designs.
• Experience establishing architecture standards and governance across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the applied AI strategy for CMO and Commercial priorities.
• Own and define the target AI architecture connecting capabilities, data, platforms, and processes.
• Provide technical direction for AI-enabled future products and workflows.
• Shape AI architecture for internal processes and transformation programs.
• Establish decision frameworks for evaluating AI technologies, models, and vendors.
• Set standards for AI solution architecture, observability, and human oversight.
• Promote reuse of architectures and components across portfolios.
• Provide executive technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Embed responsible AI practices including privacy, security, and regulatory considerations.
• Build and lead a team of senior AI architects and engineers.
