Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Director, Principal Software Engineer to lead strategic engineering across Groton and New York City. You will shape technical strategy, drive high-impact AI-enabled productivity, and guide architecture decisions at scale.

You will ensure reliability, mentor engineers, and communicate with executives to bridge engineering and business needs. You will lead cross-functional teams delivering rapid, high-quality applications supporting ELT initiatives, while advancing governance,

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: a bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Broad leadership experience influencing strategy across business and engineering.
• Proven ability to present complex technical solutions to ELT audiences.
• Demonstrated capacity to coach others and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Forward-deployed pod leadership and delivery of critical initiatives.
• Architectural direction and interoperability across teams.
