Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors in Colorado seeks a Head of AI to lead AI strategy on the executive leadership team, partnering with innovation and technology to drive transformation of products and services through AI.

You will report to the CEO and participate with the Board, ensuring ethical AI adoption, risk management, governance, and data integrity while advancing the firm’s status as a technologically sophisticated asset manager globally. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

Master’s in a quantitative field is required.
10+ years of AI strategy and transformation experience.
5+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Experience leading AI-driven R&D and product innovations.
Ability to communicate strategy to executives and boards.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a cohesive AI and technology strategy aligned with company goals.
Lead AI-powered innovation and evaluate new AI techniques for business impact.
Advocate for AI adoption and serve as strategic ambassador to stakeholders.
Build and mentor a high-performing AI and technology team.
Establish AI standards, governance, and ethical practices.
Guide infrastructure architecture to support AI initiatives at scale.
Identify and mitigate AI-related risks and ensure data security and privacy.
Oversee data governance for accuracy, security and compliance.
Collaborate with providers to maintain competitive AI capabilities.
Manage AI and technology budget to maximize ROI.
