Job summary

Engine is seeking a VP of Security to own security end-to-end, including strategy, engineering, operations, and trust posture for future funding. Lead AI security, AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec across a growing team, partnering with legal for SOC 2 and PCI readiness.

You will report to the SVP of Engineering and AI, interact with the board and enterprise customers, and shape security in an AI-native travel tech company. Hybrid work and remote options available.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ leading security organizations
• Deep technical credibility in AI security and cloud security
• Experience with prompt injection, agented access, model-mediated data exfiltration, and LLM red teaming
• Builder of net-new security functions and headcount growth
• Fluent in cloud-native security: AWS identity, CSPM, EDR and SIEM
• Executive briefing to boards and enterprise customers

Responsibilities

• AI security team is built and shipping: internal AI gateway live and agent identity enforced
• Lead AppSec, SecArch, SecOps, and CloudSec across ~10 people plus IT
• Harden operations: least privilege, leakage controls, data hygiene
• Own security narrative for fundraising diligence and enterprise reviews
• Own identity, endpoint fleet, and SaaS governance aligning security and IT
