Job summary

Engine is the AI-native platform for intelligent travel seeking a VP of Security to own security end-to-end, including strategy, engineering, and the trust posture as the company scales toward funding and beyond.

You will lead AI security, security engineering, and enterprise trust, build a team of ten, align with legal for SOC 2 and PCI, and partner with executive leadership to accelerate deals while maintaining risk.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ leading security organizations.
• Deep technical credibility: whiteboard an agent identity model and an AI gateway architecture.
• Genuine conviction about AI security, including prompt injection and model-mediated data exfiltration.
• Experience building net-new security functions and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Stand up AI security function with a centralized gateway and logging.
• Lead AppSec, SecArch, SecOps, and CloudSec teams while driving the roadmap.
• Harden enterprise operations: least privilege, contractor access, data hygiene.
• Own security narrative for fundraising diligence and enterprise reviews.
