Job summary

Citizens seeks a Distinguished Engineer for AI Tooling & Security to drive design, engineering, and security of AI platforms across the enterprise. You will lead with hands-on technical leadership, mentor teams, and shape standards for secure AI adoption at scale.

You will collaborate with architecture, security, data, and business teams to accelerate responsible AI, protect models, prompts, data, and outputs, and enable innovation while aligning with Citizens' objectives.

Qualifications

• 10 years of software/engineering or security experience.
• Proven leadership of large scale engineering initiatives across teams.
• Strong knowledge of AI, ML, and generative AI architectures.
• Experience building secure, cloud-based apps and services.
• Proficient in Python and at least one other modern language.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and AWS security.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, and security of AI platforms enterprise-wide.
• Mentor engineers and set engineering standards.
• Secure AI lifecycle from data ingestion to runtime operations.
• Design safeguards against AI threats and ensure governance.
• Strengthen identity, access management, and API security.
• Oversee CI/CD and automation to improve quality and velocity.
• Collaborate with architecture, governance, and security teams.
