Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director for AI Infrastructure & Platform Engineering to stand up and continuously improve the on-prem AI compute platform. The role leads a greenfield build across hardware, network, storage, and orchestration, with multi-site expansion and 24/7 operations.

The leader will hire and develop the team, establish operating models, and drive long-term capability to sustain CVS's AI infrastructure for years to come.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience with data center scale infrastructure.
• Hands-on ownership of bare-metal Kubernetes or OpenShift environments.
• Experience with governance, SLO/SLI, and observability in physical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-range vision for AI infrastructure and platform engineering with high availability and performance targets.
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization across infrastructure, network, and platform reliability.
• Direct bare-metal Kubernetes and OpenShift operations, including GPU quota governance and IaC adoption.
• Establish operational baselines and drive 24/7 reliable service delivery.
• Oversee vendor relationships, budget ownership, and cybersecurity posture.
