Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director of AI Infrastructure & Platform Engineering to stand up and operate CVS's on-prem AI compute platform. This greenfield initiative will own hardware, network, GPU clusters, and orchestration, delivering a frontier-grade AI factory across multi-site data centers.

Lead a 24/7 operations model, establish SRE practices, and build permanent CVS roles. Requires 10+ years of leadership, hands-on bare-metal Kubernetes/OpenShift, and strong budget governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience owning physical infrastructure at data center scale.
• Hands-on ownership of bare-metal Kubernetes or OpenShift in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Define long-range vision and strategy for AI infrastructure and platform engineering with high availability and performance.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain an engineering organization across infrastructure, network, and platform reliability.
• Drive 24/7 operations, observability, change management, and capacity planning to ensure platform availability.
