Job summary

Bethel University of Tennessee in McKenzie, Tennessee seeks a seasoned Vice President for Advancement to lead fundraising, alumni relations, and engagement across corporate, denominational, and government partners.

The VPA will work with the University President and senior leaders to grow philanthropic support, strengthen donor stewardship, and align advancement initiatives with the University's mission and long-term goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in advancement, development, fundraising, or a related field, preferably in higher education.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Proven history of leading successful comprehensive campaigns and achieving fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership to shape a comprehensive advancement agenda.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase annual giving, major gifts, and alumni engagement.
• Collaborate with the President and senior leadership to align advancement initiatives with institutional priorities.
• Build and manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and close significant gifts.
• Oversee alumni relations, communications, regional chapters, and donor stewardship.
• Oversee gift processing, prospect research, donor records, and reporting for data integrity.
• Provide analytics and reporting to inform fundraising strategy and measure progress.
• Develop and manage budgets for advancement activities, ensuring efficient resource use.
• Represent the University with corporate, church, and government partners.
