Job summary

University of St. Thomas (TX) seeks a Vice President of University Advancement to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic advancement initiatives.

The role requires directing capital campaigns, managing major gifts, and collaborating with senior leadership to advance the University's priorities. The VPUA will cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, and volunteers, expand fundraising beyond Houston and Texas, and ensure rigorous stewardship and reporting across advancement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in higher education is preferred; Catholic higher education familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop fundraising priorities and strategies aligned with the University’s mission and priorities.
• Lead a portfolio of major gifts and engage senior leaders in the fundraising process.
• Oversee capital campaigns, donor events, and engagement activities across constituencies.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, volunteers, and boards to advance philanthropic priorities.
• Ensure CRM system integrity, documentation, and reporting for fundraising activities.
