Job summary

University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX seeks a visionary Vice President of University Advancement to lead fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor relations.

This executive role reports to the President and collaborates with the Board to drive annual and capital campaigns in alignment with institutional priorities. The VPUA provides strategic direction for research, proposals, events, and stewardship while managing a high-performing advancement team dedicated to the university's long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible fundraising experience.
• Experience managing capital campaigns and donor stewardship programs.
• Experience in higher education; familiarity with Catholic higher education is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing advancement team.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy aligned with the university's priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of major gifts and solicit donations.
• Oversee donor engagement, events, and stewardship efforts.
• Provide strategic leadership to the University Advancement team.
• Collaborate with the President, Board, and leadership to advance campaigns.
