Job summary

Church's Chicken is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook food per the Manager in Charge, following the Church's Operating Standards Manual. You will set up stations, balance fryers, and ensure quality and safety during fast-paced service.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining clean, orderly work areas while delivering consistent, high-quality meals to guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-food or restaurant kitchen operations.
• Ability to follow recipes and quality standards.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up batter table, collect all necessary smallwares, and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures call sheets are complete, posted and used.
• Checks equipment and reports malfunctions to the Manager in Charge.
• Color balances fryers and maintains shortening level.
• Filters and cleans fryers following safety guidelines.
• Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs.
• Prepares and cooks all food as directed by the Manager in Charge.
• Ensures food meets specifications and quality standards per the SOM.
