Job summary
Aerotek is seeking a Chicago-based Stationary Engineer licensed professional to operate, monitor, and maintain boiler systems in a high-volume production environment. The role involves updating CMMS, performing mechanical and basic electrical repairs, and ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
You will support safe, efficient plant operations through inspections, preventive maintenance, and quick response to equipment issues.
Qualifications
- License required: Stationary Engineer.
- Experience with boiler systems and maintenance.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Able to read blueprints and technical docs.
- Familiar with CMMS and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain boiler systems and related equipment.
- Update CMMS with work statuses and documentation.
- Inspect and adjust boiler fluids (water, gas) and equipment.
- Repair boiler machinery including piping and valves.
- Record readings and ensure safe operation within specs.
- Read blueprints and technical documentation for maintenance tasks.
- Perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs on boilers and related machinery.
