Job summary

ABM is seeking a Stationary Engineer in Michigan to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler and HVAC systems in large facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor water treatment, and document work in CMMS software, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Inspect, repair, and calibrate equipment; read mechanical drawings and schematics; maintain accurate records and coordinate with site teams.

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years of boiler maintenance experience in commercial/industrial/educational/healthcare or large-facility environments.
Experience with low-pressure steam and hot water heating systems and related HVAC equipment.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
Valid Michigan Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate, and maintain low-pressure steam and hot water boiler systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, burners, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, controls, piping, steam traps, condensate return systems, and feedwater systems.
Identify and repair faults in boiler and heating system equipment.
Conduct safety tests, blowdowns, water level checks, and operational inspections.
Monitor boiler water treatment programs and boiler water chemistry.
Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and regulatory compliance.
Utilize CMMS software to document and track work orders.
Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems, including air handling units, unit ventilators, exhaust fans, pumps, and heating system controls.
