Job summary

FLATS LLC is seeking an experienced Property Manager to lead the operations of a multifamily community in Chicago. You will manage daily operations, supervise onsite staff, and drive leasing performance to meet financial and customer service goals.

The role requires IL Real Estate License, strong leadership, and knowledge of Chicago regulations. Competitive salary with benefits and a focus on resident satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multifamily lease-up or new construction community.
• Knowledge of IL landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing requirements.
• Experience using property management software (Yardi Voyager, CRM platforms, or similar).
• Strong leadership, training, and guest relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the lease-up strategy, including pricing, concessions, marketing initiatives, and occupancy growth.
• Manage daily property operations, staffing, and resources to achieve budgeted financial and operational objectives.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise onsite team members; manage performance per FLATS LLC policies.
• Oversee leasing activity, including approvals, renewals, rent increases, and lease enforcement in Chicago law.
• Monitor rent collections, financials, and monthly reports; support operating budgets and expense controls.
• Coordinate with maintenance and ownership for unit readiness, repairs, and service requests.
• Conduct regular property and unit inspections for safety, curb appeal, and compliance.
