HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a friendly host/hostess for CURRENT at The Wade hotel in Chicago. You will greet guests, manage seating, and escort them to tables while presenting menus and promoting daily specials.

You will maintain dining room setup, log communications between shifts, and handle reservations or events. Strong verbal and written communication is essential for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations and promotional materials.
• Ability to memorize and promote menu items.
• Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests with or without assistance.
• Ability to handle complaints in a friendly, proactive manner.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests, offer seating options, escort to tables and present menus.
• Read, maintain and log daily records to coordinate between shifts and management.
• Maintain proper dining room setup and cleanliness.
• Receive reservations and coordinate special functions and events.
