Job summary

Happy Hospitality in Chicago is seeking a Lead Host to oversee guest services, train hosts, and ensure a welcoming experience from arrival through seating. This role requires a strong, positive attitude and the ability to manage busy shifts.

You will work at Paradise Park in Wicker Park as part of the Front of House team, using OpenTable, handling reservations, and maintaining the guest flow while upholding the company culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a host role preferred.
• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Interact with, direct, train, and develop host employees.
• Greet guests with energetic and positive attitude.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken directions.
• Multitask calmly and under pressure; manage wait lists and OpenTable.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and handle general inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menu and server assignments.
