Job summary

Enthuse Marketing, a fast-growing, education-led agency in Chicago, seeks a Field Activation Manager to lead a 5-10 person activation team and drive consumer and customer activations for a portfolio of spirit brands in on-premise accounts.

Reporting to the Field Activation Director, you will plan activations, manage budgets, ensure compliance with liquor laws, and build client relationships while traveling within the territory and occasionally working nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or Business preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the bev-alc industry.
• 2-3 years people management experience preferred.
• Event management experience is a plus.
• Proven strong customer relationship experience.
• Strong budget management skills.
• Knowledge of liquor laws, regulations, and rules.
• Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.
• Persuasive selling and negotiation skills are required to develop and maintain strong relationships.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel on an ad hoc basis including nights and weekendsrequired.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to and from accounts.
• Desire to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish-speaking) a plus.
• Manage administrative tasks with attention to meeting agency compliance guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver activations across a field unit for a large portfolio of spirit brands in target on-premise accounts.
• Manage a team of 5-10 Activation Specialists and report to Field Activation Director.
• Assess and report on field activities and drive delivery against activation goals.
• Enforce and monitor all legal and marketing code guidelines with direct reports.
• Hire, onboard, and coach local Activation team with mentorship and career development.
• Plan, track, and drive activation opportunities using market-level channel intelligence.
• Communicate with client network to align on activation activity for local team.
• Manage local unit budget, including account support and T&E planning.
• Lead initiatives: category knowledge, POS management, programming, insights, local reporting.
• Seek opportunities within the market to leverage resources and partners for client’s brand portfolio.
• Travel within territory to collaborate 1:1 with team and understand success and challenges.
• Highlight team successes and foster local initiatives across the agency and with clients.
