Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support physicians and staff in coordinating patient care, handling lab specimens, updating EHR, and ensuring accurate documentation. You will be the liaison between patients, staff, and clinicians, maintain patient flow, and prepare for visits in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate will have an associates degree (Bachelor’s preferred), New Jersey Nursing License and BLS, strong English communication, and experience with EHR

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• New Jersey Nursing License and BLS certification required.
• 0–1 years experience; 2–4 years preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and staff with daily coordination of patient care and physician access.
• Act as liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and document care in EHR.
• Prepare for patient visits and update pertinent information for visits.
• Obtain vital signs and document in EHR.
• Administer injections and document appropriately in EHR.
• Schedule appointments per department guidelines.
• Adhere to universal safety precautions when administering medications.
