Advocate Health - Carolinas Medical Center Lab: Chemistry seeks a full-time laboratory professional for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.). A Bachelor’s degree is required and MT/MLS or equivalent registry eligibility is expected within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Prepare reagents and maintain inventory for test procedures.
• Follow testing procedures and document corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Follow testing procedures and QA guidelines; document non-conformities.
• Prepare reagents and manage inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Use clinical judgment to prioritize and troubleshoot test systems with specialists.
• Review and revise procedures for accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain real-time shift-to-shift communications with leadership.
• Participate in staff meetings, task forces, and projects.
• Engage in competency assessment programs where qualified.
