Qualifications

• Must be a High School or GED Diploma with a Baccalaureate degree including 30 quarter hours of science (15 chem, 10 bio, 5 math).
• Registration as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS/CLS) by a recognized board; certification within 12 months if registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs, reviews, and reports complex laboratory tests per procedures and standards.
• Operates and maintains equipment; processes workload in a timely manner.
• Analyzes results and consults with lead or pathologist on unusual/abnormal findings.
• Prepares reagents and manages inventory to reduce waste and expense.
• Assists in teaching students and training new employees; supports safety and confidentiality.
