Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Scientific Informatics Lead to drive chemistry-focused ELN and data management platforms across discovery, medicinal, synthetic, and process chemistry. The role requires leadership, end-to-end ownership of requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of Dotmatics Chemistry/ELN or similar platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong domain experience in medicinal chemistry, synthetic chemistry, or discovery research.
• Hands-on experience with chemistry-focused ELN platforms.
• Experience gathering requirements and configuring scientific workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery for chemistry experiments, reactions, compounds, samples, inventory, analytical results, and reporting.
• Translate workflows into user stories, specifications, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide senior oversight for ELN configuration, testing, deployment, and user support.
• Design and optimize capture, structure management, registration, stoichiometry, and data traceability workflows.
• Coordinate chemists, informatics teams, validation, security, and vendors.
• Maintain SOPs, training materials, and release notes.
