Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Scientific Informatics Lead to drive chemistry-focused ELN and data management solutions across discovery, medicinal, synthetic, and process chemistry. You will partner with scientists, informatics specialists, and technology stakeholders to translate complex workflows into scalable platform capabilities, with hands-on ELN experience (Dotmatics or similar).

The role requires leadership across requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, governance, and training.

Qualifications

• Domain expertise in medicinal, synthetic, process chemistry or discovery research.
• Hands-on with chemistry-focused ELN and informatics platforms.
• Experience gathering requirements and designing workflows for platform uptake.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery for chemistry experiments, reactions, and inventory.
• Translate workflows into user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide senior oversight for ELN configuration, testing, and deployment readiness.
• Design workflows for experiment capture, structures, stoichiometry, and inventory.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across chemists, informatics, validation, and security.
• Develop SOPs, training materials, and release notes.
• Support platform modernization and continuous improvement.
