Job summary
Cognizant is seeking a Scientific Informatics Lead to drive chemistry-focused ELN and data management solutions across discovery, medicinal, synthetic, and process chemistry functions. The role requires translating complex laboratory workflows into scalable platform capabilities, with hands-on experience in Dotmatics Chemistry/ELN or equivalent.
You will own requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, and operational support.
Qualifications
- Strong domain experience in medicinal chemistry, synthetic chemistry, process chemistry, chemical development, or discovery research.
- Hands-on experience with Dotmatics Chemistry/ELN or comparable chemistry-focused ELN or scientific informatics platform.
- Understanding of experiment and reaction capture, chemical structures, compound registration, stoichiometry, and data traceability.
- Experience gathering requirements, configuring scientific workflows, testing, defect triage, and controlled releases.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements discovery for chemistry experiments, reactions, compounds, samples, inventory, analytical results, and reporting.
- Translate workflows into user stories, specifications, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee ELN configuration, workflow design, testing, deployment, and user support.
- Design and optimize capture of experiments, reactions, and chemical structures; ensure data traceability.
