Job summary

MAPEI S.p.A. is seeking an R&D Chemist Intern to collaborate with our R&D and Quality teams, gaining hands-on lab experience and contributing to ongoing projects. This role may lead to full-time opportunities in an R&D lab or field quality control team.

You will work on specialized projects, support testing, and prepare lab notes while developing reports for the technical team. This internship offers exposure to multiple host locations and a pathway to permanent roles after graduation.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (juniors and seniors preferred).

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

As an R&D Chemist Intern, you will collaborate with our R&D and Quality teams to support projects and special initiatives while gaining hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day laboratory operations. This experience may lead to future full‑time Lab Technician opportunities within an R&D laboratory or field Quality Control team.

Work as part of the R&D team to execute department goals
Work on special projects and initiatives in a laboratory setting
Support laboratory testing work
Prepare and maintain lab notes
Assist in generating reports and presentations for the technical team

The Program Details

Fulltime schedule (40 hours weekly)
Internship Duration: May – August 2027 (12 weeks)
Rotations: R&D Laboratory (technical training) & practical learning at factory locations
Host Locations: Deerfield Beach FL, Calhoun GA, Swedesboro NJ, Garland, TX
