Job summary

MAPEI is seeking an R&D Chemist Intern to collaborate with our R&D and Quality teams in Deerfield Beach, FL, gaining hands-on lab experience. The program includes rotations across R&D laboratories and factory locations, with mentorship and exposure to multiple teams.

The role offers full-time hours in a 12-week internship (May–August 2027), with potential for future full-time opportunities after graduation. Housing stipends may be considered depending on circumstances.

The Opportunity
As an R&D Chemist Intern, you will collaborate with our R&D and Quality teams to support projects and special initiatives while gaining hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day laboratory operations. This experience may lead to future full‑time Lab Technician opportunities within an R&D laboratory or field Quality Control team.

• Work as part of the R&D team to execute department goals


• Work on special projects and initiatives in a laboratory setting


• Support laboratory testing work


• Prepare and maintain lab notes


• Assist in generating reports and presentations for the technical team

The Program Details

• Fulltime schedule (40 hours weekly)


• Internship Duration: May – August 2027 (12 weeks)


• Rotations: R&D Laboratory (technical training) & practical learning at factory locations


• Host Locations: Deerfield Beach FL, Calhoun GA, Swedesboro NJ, Garland, TX
