Job summary

MAPEI is seeking an R&D Chemist Intern to join our labs in the United States. You will collaborate with R&D and Quality teams, support day-to-day laboratory operations, and contribute to special projects and initiatives.

During the 12-week program (May–August 2027), you will rotate between the R&D Laboratory and factory locations, gain hands-on experience, and build a path toward future full-time opportunities at MAPEI.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (juniors and seniors preferred).
• Willingness to travel and strong motivation to learn are encouraged.
• Hands-on laboratory experience and ability to work in a team environment are important.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D and Quality teams in day-to-day laboratory operations.
• Execute department goals as part of the R&D team.
• Work on special projects and initiatives in a laboratory setting.
• Prepare and maintain lab notes.
• Assist in generating reports and presentations for the technical team.

As an R&D Chemist Intern, you will collaborate with our R&D and Quality teams to support projects and special initiatives while gaining hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day laboratory operations. This experience may lead to future full‑time Lab Technician opportunities within an R&D laboratory or field Quality Control team.

• Work as part of the R&D team to execute department goals
• Work on special projects and initiatives in a laboratory setting
• Support laboratory testing work
• Prepare and maintain lab notes
• Assist in generating reports and presentations for the technical team
  

The Program Details

• Fulltime schedule (40 hours weekly)
• Internship Duration: May – August 2027 (12 weeks)
• Rotations: R&D Laboratory (technical training) & practical learning at factory locations
• Host Locations: Deerfield Beach FL, Calhoun GA, Swedesboro NJ, Garland, TX
