Chemical Production Technician

We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for 150 years. Their portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Chemical Production Technician in Upper Mt Bethel, PA.

Our Production Technicians operate chemical processes and perform related activities, utilizing their manufacturing knowledge to operate and troubleshoot the plant safely and efficiently.

Production Technicians are required to work shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

1. Safely and efficiently operate assigned processes to meet quality, production, and productivity goals.
2. Prioritize daily tasks with Production Leads and Supervisors.
3. Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a safe work environment.
4. Review and update Standard Operating Procedures and Learning Resources.
5. Complete annual personal and professional development goals.
6. Assemble and disassemble production equipment.
7. Perform basic maintenance on equipment.
8. Promote a safety culture with actions and words.
9. Issue safe work permits.
10. Complete all assigned training successfully.
11. Cross-train peers on approved functions.

Requirements

• Experience working closely with ammonium chloride, helium, and nitrogen.
• At least 2 years in a process operations environment.
• Experience with hazardous material handling is desirable.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical systems.
• Must be and remain clean shaven for safety.
• Ability to wear full face respirators and encapsulated suits, SCBA, or other tight-fitting respirators.
• Pass respiratory and physical tests for respirator use.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and roll cylinders up to 200 lbs.
• Technical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of analytical processes, root cause investigation, 5S, and Lean manufacturing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Location: Upper Mt Bethel, PA 18343

Pay Rate: $21.00 – 22.00 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.

Work Schedule: Onsite, 4 days on / 4 days off, 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am shifts. Overnight shifts are likely.
