Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer in Piscataway, NJ to support design, development, scale-up, commissioning, and continuous improvement of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment from lab to production.

Responsibilities include process calculations, data analysis, and capital project support, under guidance from senior engineers and project leaders. Requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or related field with 1+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years in chemical process development, scale-up, or manufacturing.
• Technical: Proficient in process calculations and data analytics for optimization.
• Documentation: Knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, Plant 3D, specs, control narratives.
• Standards: Understanding of API, ASME, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, PSM.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, scale-up, and implementation of chemical manufacturing processes.
• Assist with the preparation and review of process engineering deliverables.
• Support design and modification of chemical manufacturing facilities, process skids, and equipment.
• Assist with selection, specification, and evaluation of process equipment, including reactors, vessels, and heat exchangers.
