Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join the Fluoromonomers team at Fayetteville, NC. This role provides technical support to maintain production performance and drive process improvements across safety, reliability, and efficiency.

You will work with technology managers and operations to implement modifications, lead PSM activities, and guide capital projects from concept to startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
• Ability to work in a team environment with initiative, self-motivation and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintain and improve safety, reliability, quality, environmental performance, and production capability.
• Lead and support Process Safety Management (PSM) activities including PHA, LOPA, PSSR and related reviews.
• Lead MOC activities including hazard reviews, design updates, and startup planning.
• Develop, maintain, and improve process documentation and engineering standards.
• Design, coordinate, execute, and evaluate plant trials and tests to improve safety and costs.
• Support process control improvements with operations and project teams.
