Job summary

The Chemours Company, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Monomers Manufacturing Technology team at the Fayetteville Works site in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This position reports to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.

The Process Engineer provides manufacturing technology support for Thermal Oxidizer and Water Recycle operations. The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Engineering personnel to troubleshoot technical

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
0–5 years of engineering co-op, internship, or relevant manufacturing experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and apply process technology knowledge to support Thermal Oxidizer and Water Recycle operations, maintaining safe, reliable, and compliant operation.
Monitor and analyze process performance to identify opportunities for improvement in process safety, environmental compliance, energy efficiency, and equipment reliability.
Participate in root cause investigations, continuous improvement, and capital projects, including front-end loading, process design support, and startup activities.
Work with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
Train operations and maintenance personnel on process fundamentals, operation, troubleshooting, and process safety requirements.
