Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Fayetteville Works manufacturing technology team in Fayetteville, NC. You will support Nafion IXM operations, drive process improvements, and troubleshoot day-to-day plant issues to improve safety, quality, yield and reliability.

Responsibilities include leading safety and cost-improvement initiatives, guiding design changes, training operators, and performing manufacturing trials with documentation and reports for continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in a chemical/industrial continuous-process environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing problems using engineering fundamentals.
• Strong written and verbal communication with operators, maintenance, engineers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to wear PPE and work in plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for Nafion IXM manufacturing operations.
• Deliver process engineering expertise for projects ensuring specs, standards and quality.
• Initiate and review design changes to improve safety, quality and cost.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues with Operations and Maintenance; train plant personnel.
• Lead process; product quality, yield, reliability and cost-improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Process Safety Management activities and incident investigations.
• Plan and execute manufacturing trials for new products and continuous improvement.
