Job summary

Chemours in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Chemical Process Engineer to provide technical support to manufacturing operations and improve process performance. You will work with technology managers and operations to upgrade products and processes, lead PSM activities, and guide capital projects from feasibility through startup.

The role requires ABET-accredited chemical engineering degree, strong problem-solving and multi-project skills, and experience with process simulation tools like Aspen

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
• Ability to work in a team environment with initiative and flexibility to move projects forward quickly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Act as the chemical engineering resource to maintain and improve safety, reliability, quality, environmental performance, and production capability.
• Provide day-to-day process engineering support including monitoring, data analysis, troubleshooting, RCA, and corrective actions.
• Own and monitor key process performance indicators and lead improvements in capability, capacity, yield, energy efficiency, and reliability.
• Lead and support Process Safety Management (PSM) activities including PHA, LOPA, PSSR, relief system evaluations, and documentation.
• Lead Management of Change (MOC) activities including hazard reviews and startup planning.
• Develop and maintain process documentation such as SOPs, standards, and heat/mass balances.
