Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Control Room Operator for a chemical manufacturing environment. You will locate stock, deliver items, ensure accurate deliveries, take inventory, and identify reorder needs for supervisor approval.

You will report to the Resin Plant Manager. Responsibilities include monitoring multiple reactor systems, recording data, using GE iBatch and Allen Bradley PLCs, and coordinating with QC Lab for batch status.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a related role.
• Willing to work a rotating schedule.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor in-process batches in 3 reactor systems.
• Record status, charge weights, rate feed & temperature data.
• Work with HMI controls to process batches.
• Coordinate with Operators for making manual charges and pulling samples.
• Review batch recipes and reports for timing of upcoming charges.
