Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a Control Room Operator for chemical manufacturing. You will locate stock, deliver items, and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deliveries.

You will monitor reactor batches, operate HMI controls, and coordinate with QC and finishers to support production. Shifts are 12 hours (days or nights) with overlap; non-exempt salary with overtime coverage and bi-weekly rotation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous experience
• Work rotating schedule
• High school diploma

Responsibilities

• Locate stock and deliver items; ensure accurate deliveries and stock the supply room
• Monitor in-process batches in 3 reactor systems and record status
• Operate with HMI controls and batch recipes (GE iBatch)
• Manage control systems (GE iFix, Allen-Bradley PLCs)
• Coordinate with Operators for manual charges and sampling
• Review batch recipes and production status with Resin Supervisor
• Communicate via in-person meetings, telephone, and radio
