Job summary

CGT Staffing is seeking an Industrial Chemical Processing Specialist to operate core unit operations with precision and safety, including reactors and separation systems. You will monitor process parameters, log data, and collect samples to ensure product specs are met.

You will train with operators, document deviations, and uphold safety and environmental standards. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

Operator training program or equivalent completed.
120 hours of on-the-job training within first 90 days.
PCC RCRA General Awareness training within six months; annual refreshers thereafter.
Overtime and flexible hours may be required to meet production needs.
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for equipment operation.
Comfort with configuring indicating/controlling devices and adjusting valves/controls.

Responsibilities

Operate core unit operations (reaction, distillation, filtration, extraction, autoclave, pumping, centrifugation) with confidence and care.
Stage, load, and unload raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods to keep production moving.
Set up and adjust indicating/controlling instruments; hold temperature, pressure, and vacuum within target windows.
Observe and log chemical/physical changes; collect samples to confirm product specs.
Troubleshoot abnormal conditions and suggest equipment/method improvements.
Elevate safety and quality by following procedures and company initiatives.
Maintain clean, neat, and organized work area; complete training and assist with other duties as needed.
