Styropek is seeking a Chemical Operator for its Painesville, OH facility. The role includes packaging, dryer and reactor operations, and a control board function within a DCS environment.

It involves rotating 12-hour shifts and escalation of process issues to meet operating objectives. The position requires 3+ years in manufacturing chemical operations or a relevant technical degree, plus a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing chemical operations or a relevant technical degree/diploma.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment function.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime as needed; strong problem solving and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, environmentally sanctioned operation per site procedures.
• Work 12 hr rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Communicate via shift logs and information systems (SAP, Outlook).
• Ensure quality control and take corrective actions as needed under ISO procedures.
• Troubleshoot process equipment and deviations; maintain housekeeping and perform maintenance tasks.
