Job summary

Quaker Houghton in Middletown, CA is seeking a Chemical Operator II to perform advanced production and material-handling activities, following manufacturing instructions to operate equipment, produce and package materials, and support shipping. You will maintain high safety, quality and efficiency while collaborating across the production process.

You will operate PLCs and process controls, prepare vessels, manage batch tickets in JDE, and ensure on-time shipment.

Qualifications

• Reading batch sheets, SOPs and work instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills and precise attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment per training and work instructions to ensure safety and product quality.
• Prepare mixing vessels, pumps and hoses for unloading; inspect containers for cleanliness.
• Operate PLCs, mass flow meters, pumps and scales.
• Fill containers per batch ticket; label, palletize, wrap and complete work orders in JDE.
• Maintain batch documentation; calculate batch yields.
• Store and stage inventory for batch prep and shipping.
• Track material inventory and perform transfers in JDE.
• Load/unload trucks and rail cars; move raw materials to production vessels.
• Handle shipping tasks; receive POs and ship in JDE; coordinate late shipments; UPS/FedEx shipments.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and follow safety policies.
• Contain spills and perform cleanup; operate forklifts and related equipment.
• Participate in safety committee and assist in customer complaint investigations.
• Other duties as assigned.
