Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Riegelwood, NC is seeking a Chemical Operator II to join our team. The role involves operating pumps and equipment, transferring materials to reaction vessels, and following batch production instructions in a low-volume manufacturing environment.

You will maintain detailed process records, perform basic maintenance, and support safety and process improvements. A chemistry background and ability to lift 50 lbs are required, with a valid driver’s license and respirator capability.

Qualifications

• B.S. Chemistry preferred or Associate Science with chemistry experience, and/or 2-5 years’ experience as a chemical operator.
• Ability to wear full-face respirator and lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps, valves, and other equipment to complete the production process safely.
• Transfer raw materials from storage to reaction vessels and record usage.
• Follow written batch production instructions.
• Maintain records of temperature, pressure, weights, lot numbers, and deviations.
• Perform minor routine maintenance as required.
• Operate a forklift.
• Sample in-process reactions safely.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors on process/safety improvements.
