Responsibilities

• Operate pumps, valves and equipment to complete production safely.
• Transfer raw materials from storage to reaction vessels with records.

• Maintain records of temperature, pressure, weights, lot numbers and deviations.
• Perform minor routine maintenance as required.
• Operate a forklift.
• Sample in-process reactions safely.
• Develop knowledge of basic chemical practice (distillation, washes, extractions, filtrations).
• Interact with coworkers and supervisors on process/safety improvements.
• Other functions as requested by management.

Job Description

Our site in Riegelwood, NC is seeking a Chemical Operator II to join our team. In this role you will work in a high volume manufacturing environment which includes tasks such as sampling raw materials, packaging finished goods for shipment, and maintaining equipment.

What You'll Do

• Operate pumps, valves and other equipment as required to complete the production process safely.
• Independently transfer raw materials from storage to reaction vessels while maintaining accurate records of materials used.
• Follow written work instructions for batch production.
• Maintain accurate records of all significant information regarding the process including temperature, pressure, weights, lot numbers, and deviations.
• Perform minor routine maintenance as required.
• Operate a forklift.
• Sample in‑process reactions safely.
• Develop a working knowledge of basic chemical practice including distillation (vacuum & atmospheric), washes, extractions and filtrations.
• Interact well with coworkers and supervisors regarding concerns and potential process/safety improvements.
• Other functions as requested by management.

What We Seek
