Job summary

Entegris in Riegelwood, NC is seeking a Chemical Operator II to join our team on rotating 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. You will work in a low volume manufacturing environment, sampling raw materials, packaging finished goods for shipment, and maintaining equipment.

You will operate pumps and valves, log all process data, perform routine maintenance, and safely run forklift operations while supporting process improvements with coworkers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with computers (MS Word, Excel, email, internet).
• Proficiency in simple algebra.
• Proficiency in multi-tasking.
• Teamwork and accountability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps, valves, and equipment to complete production safely.
• Transfer raw materials to reaction vessels with accurate records.
• Follow written batch production instructions.
• Maintain records of temperature, pressure, weights, lot numbers and deviations.
• Perform minor routine maintenance.
• Operate a forklift.
• Sample in-process reactions safely.
• Learn basic chemical practices including distillation, washes, extractions and filtrations.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors on process and safety improvements.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
