Job summary

Entegris in Riegelwood, NC is seeking a Process Chemist to support batch manufacturing, new product development, scale up and continual improvement. You will join the Site Leadership Team to drive Safety, Quality and Continual Improvement, with a second shift (11 AM–9 PM) and flexibility.

The role requires a BS in Chemistry, SAP experience, and the ability to manage records, write SOPs, and work cross-functionally to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• BS Chemistry or related field required.
• Experience interpreting analytical results.
• Experience with SAP.
• Safe handling/disposal of chemicals; maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous documentation habits.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with experience presenting results.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Commitment to Safety and Continual Improvement.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Ability to drive a forklift; training provided.
• Moderate physical effort with heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and forklift operation.
• Second shift

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of processes ranging in scale from 5L to 1000 Gal.
• Execute standard batch manufacturing processes.
• Process monitoring, troubleshooting and deviations.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and yield.
• Coordinate with management to evaluate feasibility of new projects.
• Write and revise SOPs.
• Accurate SAP order execution.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records.
• Communicate and present information clearly and organized.
• Operate forklift, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance as required.
• May adjust schedule to cover shifts or implement new processes.
• Demonstrate conformance to the Quality Management System.
• Comply with safety and environmental requirements.
• Work in a cross functional team to drive Safety, Quality and Continual Improvement.
