Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking a Chemical Operator for Newport, DE to operate chemical processing equipment and follow ISO-compliant procedures. You will monitor temperature, pressure and flow, perform routine maintenance, and collect samples for quality control.

The role requires dealing with hazardous materials in explosion-proof environments and working 12-hour shifts, including day-night rotation, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of Industrial Manufacturing experience.
Experience with C1D1/C1D2 explosion-proof environments.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
Flexibility to work in 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment.
Follow procedures, instructions, and recipes to produce specified products.
Monitor process variables like temperature, pressure and flow rates.
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Assist with quality control sampling.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Work in 12-hour shift schedules including day-night rotation.
