Job summary

Chemours in El Dorado, AR is seeking an Operator/Mechanic to monitor and operate equipment in a high‑hazard process, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to SOPs. The role includes minor maintenance, control‑room duties, and rotating 12‑hour shifts across areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of related work experience.
• Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Willingness to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and short-notice call-ins.
• Willingness and ability to wear PPE (steel toes, hard hat, protective eyewear, face shields, arc protection, SCBA).
• Willingness to work in a high-hazard process.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs, ladders, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Load, ship, and receive finished, raw, or intermediate materials.
• Perform sequences of operations to operate or support chemical processes.
• Participate in safety, environmental, and health responsibilities.
• Achieve and maintain production targets and quality standards.
• Safely handle pressure, temperature, level and flow in pipe systems and test for leaks.
• Safely handle hazardous and non‑hazardous materials and wastes per regulations.
• Operate equipment and perform control-room duties.
