Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Ohio seeks a Chemical Engineering Co-op for Spring/Summer 2027. This temporary, on-site position offers exposure to Production Support and Process Development across Lubrizol sites.

You will assist production units, tackle process optimization and safety improvements, and help design lab and pilot-scale experiments. The program provides housing/relocation assistance and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering with graduation between December 2028 through May 2030.
Completion of two co-op terms is required, 40 hours per week; three or more co-op terms preferred with fall/spring terms.
Students with GPA > 3.0 will be given priority.

Responsibilities

Assist day-to-day operation of production units and help solve technical issues, focusing on process optimization and safety improvements.
Work on projects involving process optimization, startup of new processes/equipment, system troubleshooting, and capital project design.
Design lab and pilot-scale experiments, implement changes, develop and evaluate analytical tests, collect and analyze data, and make recommendations.
Contribute to Process Development efforts to scale up new products and optimize existing ones.
