Job summary

IMEG Corp. offers a paid Chemical Engineering Internship in Utica, MI for Summer 2027. Over 10–12 weeks, you’ll assist in chemical process design, equipment spec development, PFDs/P&IDs, and cost-estimate support, under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The program emphasizes hands-on project work, mentorship from day one, and collaboration across industrial, manufacturing, and MEP disciplines, with a clear path to full-time roles for interns who excel.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office programs; familiarity with CAD/BIM tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, to individuals or groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of chemical process projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and support the development of equipment and instrument specifications.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs to support project delivery.
• Perform and document technical calculations; support field documentation and site visits.
• Assist in cost estimate development and vendor quote solicitation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions meeting project goals.
