Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Ann Arbor, MI. You will assist in analysis, design, and implementation oversight of chemical processes while collaborating with senior engineers and mentors from day one.

The paid internship provides hands-on project experience across industrial, manufacturing, and MEP work, with exposure to real project delivery in technical facility environments and a potential path to full-time roles at IMEG.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting and collaboration with teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office; CAD software and BIM experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of chemical process projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs.
• Support cost estimate development and vendor quotes.
• Document design decisions and client instructions promptly for records.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
