Job summary

School Food Service Management Company is seeking a Chef/Manager for the Allentown, PA area. This full-time, day-shift role runs Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays; occasional nights may occur for school board catering events.

The candidate should have proven cooking experience, familiarity with high-volume catering, and the ability to work within NSLP guidelines. ServSafe certification is preferred and readiness to obtain necessary school work documents.

K-12 school food service experience is a plus. Must be familiar with high volume catering. Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools. Must have proven cooking experience.

ServSafe® certificate is preferred.

Duties to include:

• Overseeing the function of the kitchen area.
• Creating menu ideas, while adhering to all NSLP guidelines.
• Preparing for Catering events.
• Be sure all safety and cleanliness guidelines are being practiced at all times.
• See the personal protection equipment is being used at all times.
• Food ordering and inventory.
• Must be proficient in various computer software.(Google Docs, Microsoft, etc.)
• Staffing needs.
