Job summary

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. in La Jolla, California, seeks a seasoned Chef de Cuisine to support the Executive Chef in establishing standards of food quality and presentation for hotel and restaurant operations.

You will supervise kitchen staff, assist with menu development and diverse banquet themes, ensure adherence to costs and labor budgets, and partner with Restaurant Managers to deliver exceptional guest experiences daily.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least five years related experience.
• Five years all-around kitchen experience; European and Continental cuisine.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with vendors, guests, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef in establishing standards of food quality and presentation.
• Support menu writing and diverse banquet themes.
• Supervise kitchen staff and manage food/labor costs.
• Coordinate with Restaurant Managers and Dining Room to ensure smooth service.
