Job summary

Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority is seeking a Chef to join the Food & Beverage team responsible for delivering high-quality food across venues including 1830 Restaurant & Bar, cafes and event catering at the Port Arthur Historic Site. Multiple positions are available.

Fixed-term, part-time; 38 hours per fortnight; Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent required. Regional South Port Arthur location with a focus on quality service and safety.

Qualifications

• Provide and maintain high quality trade work in onsite catering and the production and presentation of food across Port Arthur Historic Site's Food & Beverage outlets.
• Ensure quantities of stock and consumables are maintained, properly stored and accounted for with daily reconciliations during shift.
• Participate in ongoing improvement of the Food & Beverage outlets by delivering excellent customer service.
• Provide assistance, direction and on-the-job training to work-placement students and apprentices.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment and advise the Head Chef of any hazards.

Responsibilities
